This is my aunt’s famous recipe for absolutely delicious tiramisu, which I could never stop eating when I was visiting. It is also very simple and fast

Ingredients

  • 500 g Mascarpone (in a dairy section in grocery store)
  • 500 ml of whipped cream
  • coffee – espresso
  • 300 g butter biscuits
  • 5 eggs
  • 6 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • cocoa powder (on top)

Instructions - Tiramisu

  1. Whip the cream with an electric whisk or just a normal whisk
  2. Separate the yolks of all eggs from the egg whites – put each in a different bowl
  3. Whisk the egg white with electric whisk in the bowl into snow
  4. Mix the egg yolks in a separate bowl with the sugar
  5. Carefully mix everything (whipped cream, snow and egg yolks with sugar) together with Mascarpone until you have a fine homogeneous mass
  6. Make coffee – we usually make around 3 espressos and pour them in a small bowl. Take a bake form (it can be rectangular, circular or whatever) and line the bottom with a layer of biscuits, which you first soak in coffee (not too much)
  7. Next, alternate a layer of cream with a layer of biscuits with coffee. The last is a layer of cream, which we sprinkle with cocoa powder through a sieve. Set aside in the refrigerator for 6 hours
